Few jazz bands can tell about themselves that they give concerts to full house but Chameleon Jazz Band is one of them. They have been performing since 2003. The conductor and the arts executive of the band is Rezső Bálint, trombone artist. The art advisor position is currently held by award-winning composer, Péter Tóth.

Many of their thematic nights have become popular recently, but the all night shows have brought them the real success. Their repertoire covers all musical genres of the past century from swing classics to Latin rhythm all the way through to jazz-rock. The unique style and atmosphere of their concerts are always set in a big stage performance and they prove every time that their name 'Chameleon' is not a coincidence.

In the past years Chameleon Jazz Band performed in 42 cities with more than 240 concerts. Their guest performers include well-known names from both Hungary and Europe and they also give opportunity to new talents to introduce themselves.

Lilla Polyák, Klara Hajdu, Péter Szolnoki and also Roy és Ádám formation are all returning performers with the band, and Chameleon has already performed with Horvath Charlie and Berki Tamas as well.

The young and dynamic group gained their first international success in 2008 at the Kosice Jazz Festival. They have been abroad several times since then.

In the spring of 2009 they recorded their first video clip starring Attila Magyar and Zénó Kárász, two famous Hungarian actors. In 2010 they made the music of the award-winning film, Team Building, directed by Réka Almási. In the same year the band gave concerts in Transylvania with outstanding success.

Since the beginning of the international concert series of 2010-2011 the band is touring with 7 members. Nowadays they are preparing for their European tour commencing in the autumn of 2011 within which they will visit Austria, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania.

Their traditional season-ending, Christmas concert is going to be in Óbudai Társkör (Budapest) on the 17th December at 7 p.m. The program makes sure again that both young and old are going to enjoy themselves the concert. Have a musical journey with Chameleon!

After the Christmas tour, early 2012, the band is about to move to a studio to produce their first record and their second video clip.
